Theme: Hyperbolic Patriotism
Quotation: "The important thing is to keep them pledging," he explained to his cohorts. "It doesn't matter whether they mean it or not." What this means to me is that they are so desperate that he doesnt even care if they care or not about whhat they are pledging about so to hell with it he is saying.

4.) Chapter Twelve
Theme: Rationality vs. Superstition
Quotation: "The enemy ... is anybody who's going to get you killed, no matter which side he's on, and that includes Colonel Cathcart. And don't you forget that, because the longer you remember it, the longer you might live." What that means to me is that you can have a friendly fire or an accident because some one probably got trigger happy and your shot. So trust no one and make sure you watch your back and they could be on the other side to help themselves survive.

2.) Chapter Ten
Theme: Isanity as the Sane Choice of Action
Quotation: "There is no light. I don't feel like starting my generator. I used to get a kick out of saving people's lives. Now I wonder what the hell's the point, since they all have to die anyway." What this means to me is that he does not feel like trying to get all excited about helping people anymore because they dont appreciate it and that the people are still going to die right after i save them and he is tired of feeling like he did something good and then get shot down and watse his energy to help them. it does not entertain him anymore.

1)YES, WHY? IT WOULD TAKE ALOT TO CARE ABOUT SOMETHING FAR TO OFF IMPORTANT. BECAUSE IF YOSARRIAN DIDMT HE WOULD MOST DEFENTLY HAVE TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES LATER. NO, IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO FIGHT POWERFUL SYSTEMS LIKE THE MILITARY DO, YOU CAN NOT OUT SMART THE MILITARY. THEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE DOINGS OF KNOWING THINGS EVEN UNDERHANDELY. I DONT EVEN THINK THE MILITARY CAN OUTSMART ITS OWN SELF.AND BY TRYING TO OUTSMART THEM IT WILL ALWAYS BE A CONSEQUENCE LATER. THE ONLY CAUSE I THINK IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR IS,SOMEBODY THAT YOU LOVE AND CARE ABOUT. SOMEONE LIKE YOUR FAMILY, IF U KNOW SOMEONE IN UR FAMILY IS IN DANGER AND U KNOW U CAN BE AWAY TO HELP PREVENT IT, THEN WHY NOT GO FOR IT? THEN THEY CAN'T SAY YOU DID NOT TRY.

2)YES, I DO AGREE WITH THE AUTHOR JOSEPH HELLER. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY YES, NO, OR EVEN MAYBE TO WHATEVER WE LIKE AND WANT.WE MAKE OUR OWN DECISION IN LIFE. BASED ON SOCIETY,ECONOMIC REASONS, MONEY, PEER-PRESSURE, AND MAYBE EVEN POVERTY. EVERYTHING, SOMEONE DO IS A REASON FOR WHAT IT HAS BEEN DONE."FOR EVERY ACTION, THERE'S A RE-ACTION" SO WHAT EVER SOMEONE HAS DONE THAT IS UPON THERE SELF AND NO ONE ELSE. SO OF COURSE I DO AGREE WITH AUTHOR, JOSEPH HELLER.

3) THIS BOOK IS VERY SERIOUS AND CONFUSING. YOU HAVE TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO BEABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON. IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BROKEN DOWN A LITTLE MORE IT PROBABLY WOULD OF BEEN ALOT EASIER TO READ AND LESS CONFUSING. TO ME, THIS BOOK WILL STILL HAVE THE SAME MEANING. IT JUST NEED TO BE LESS CONFUSING.

A) THE DIFFERNCE BETWEEN THE TWO CONVERSATION IS THAT, YOSARRIANS TRYING TO BE ALL PROPER AND SARCASTIC IN A PROPER WAY AND TONE, HE ALSO HE ACT LIKE HE DIDNT CARE ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON ABOUT NOT GOING BACK TO THE WAR. ON THE OTHER HAND CLEVINGER SEEM MORE CONCERNED AND HAD VERY SENSATIVE FEELINGS WHEN HE THOUGHT ABOUT THE WAR IN THE PAST. I DONT THINK NOTHING IS RESOLVED IN EITHER ONE OF THE CONVERSATION BECAUSE THEY IS TOO STUCK ON THEY SELF TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO ONE ANOTHER. BY READING SO FAR, I THINK YOSARRIANS ROLE CHANGED BECAUSE HE SOUND MORE LIKE A NARRATOR THEN A CHARACTER IN THE BOOK. FINALLY, I THINK PEOPLE THINK OF YOSARRIANS OF BEING A JEHOVAH WITNESS, BECAUSE HE LED THEM ON IN SO MANY WAYS. YOSARRIAN THINK SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE, ALSO HE THINK THEY ARE MENTALLY CRAZY.

D) I MOST DEFIENTLY AGREE. WHY? BECAUSE HE DONE LED SO MANY PEOPLE ON TO MAKE IT TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS A JEHOVA WITNESS!

In the first story, he says that self-educated people think too much of education. However, I think people that is self-educated should think very highly of education. Living in today's society we need all the education we can possibly get. There isn't much of a job opportunity or any opportunity with out education. Neitherless, being self-educated is better then being not educated at all.

In the second story, it is talking about the things we overindulged in on how we take for granted. In other words, living in America we have the easy way out and doing things moreover then other particular countries, therefore we take advantage of certain things that we shouldnt. Technology is getting more hi-tech everyday, we should learn how to take control for the next generation that may come our way.
